Marshall and Edna Branstool began growing fruit in 1984. A peach orchard was planted that included 1500 peach trees on 11 acres rented from Marshall's father and uncle. At that time Marshall was a machinist in town while Edna stayed home to raise two young healthy boys Tyler and Alex.

As the young trees started to produce, the peaches were sold under a 20'x20' tent set along the highway. After several crops were harvested Marshall realized growing fruit was his real passion. In 1993 a neighboring farm was purchased with 68 acres. 1200 more peach trees were planted along with 800 apple trees. Accept for the winter of 1994 when our peach crop froze out, we've been blessed with good weather. The Ohio climate produces high quality good tasting tree-ripened apples and peaches.

In 1995 our farm market was built on the new farm along side the new orchards and a small grape planting was added. In 1997 Edna received a degree in nursing and now is a registered nurse at a local hospital emergency room. This and the demands of increased fruit production allowed Marshall to quit his factory job and become full time fruit grower.

We now have over 60 varieties of peaches, apples pears an grapes. Please visit our new orchard page for beautiful and educational photos.

In February 2004 Marshall and Edna traveled to Bolzano Italy for an international conference: The IDFTA

Today Branstool Orchards consists of 4000 peach trees and 2200 apple trees along with 200 grape vines and pumpkin and sweet corn plantings. We encourage you to visit our beautiful farm and eat some of our wonderful home grown produce.
